I was quickly browsing through Richards website and found an ejection
system that peaked my interest for its simplicity

design where I use the terminals that are insulated from eachother by a
piece of plastic attached to a lanyard that is pulled out by the rocket
taking off. I thought to use this system in place of the mercury switch but
one of my concerns are that the switch might not open from the air speed
before the circuit is closed by the above mentioned system but I could
probably just lengthen the lanyard attached to the system so that it can
come up to speed before it is pulled out.
I hope what I've said makes sense.

have two conductors with an insulator between them that gets pulled out
when the rocket takes off instead of having the acceleration switch and i
thought about it and realized that that would be much easier and more
reliable than what i made. i made a simple drawing to illustrate. the fuse
will be the same as in the other drawing. i made one of the fuses last
night and it worked quite well, i just need to tweak how long it burns for
then it would be perfect.
