Good stuff, Rick, I'm glad to see an update.
I'm in San Francisco for a spell, so it's once again become possible for me to
attend some FAR weekends. Not all of them, but if there are times when you need

Since the transition to a conventional 2-stage rocket design, we have designed
a small scale 2-stage rocket similar to the 89mm MiniSShot but with slightly
lower total impulse to test avionics and staging. The testing was to follow
this progression: static testing of 75mm 'K' impulse sustainer motor; flight
test of the 75mm sustainer rocket; 100mm 'M' impulse booster motor static test;
flight test of the booster with a stand in nosecone replacing the sustainer
coupler; and finally flight test of the combined 2-stage booster and sustainer.
All tests of those have been successfully completed with the SS 75/100 2-stage
going over 30,000' (10,000 m).
Work is now progressing on a 6" (150mm) booster motor for static testing. After
successful static testing of the booster motor, the motor will then be flown
solo at the FAR site. Following that successful flight, the 100mm booster from
the previous SS 75/100 2-stage rocket will be used as the sustainer on the
150mm booster and form the SS 100/150 rocket. Launch date and location still to
be determined.
Successful launch of the SS 100/150 rocket will lead to construction of the SS
150/250 2-stage rocket with construction expected to commence in 2017-2018.
Attached photo is the successful SS 75/100 2-stage launch last July at the FAR
site in the Mojave Desert, California.
