I am truly gratified at the advances in accessibility that Windows 10 and Jaws 
18 represent.  One can only speculate what future enhancements in technology 
await us from these two monopolistic enterprizes which communicate with one 
another so effectively as they continue to develop their products.

Try pressing Space after opening the file to start playback. Does SR 
open at all? Does the file load? It is working fine here.

Hi all,

Using windows 10, version 1803, and jaws 2018, April update.

I've never had this problem before.

I can play an mp3 file in Winamp, but when I do an open with, and down 
arrow to studio recorder, and press enter to play it instead, it will 
not play the file.

Anyone have any ideas? I've never had that problem before, I've always 
been able to play a file with studio recorder, instead of winamp, when 
I've done an open with.

My experience is that Studio Recorder and Windows Ten don't play nice 
together. I have had W10 seem not even to open SR. A couple of times I 
tried to use SR and it seemed not to open. I tried uninstalling the 
program and W10 would say something like cannot uninstall. please close 
the program then try uninstalling.
Generally if I have a problem I can shut down and restart and SR will 
work again. Note: I said Shut Down! than restart. A simple restart 
wasn't working for me. I cut power to the computer during the shut 
down-restart.
I have file associations set so any MP3 file I enter on should play in SR.
