Hi. I simply stop at the end of my recording and without selecting anything
just press ctrl+e and letter after that to 'delete to the end' and it always
works.

This has happened with more than one file.
I have a file open and need to delete the last few minutes or seconds of the file. I select the start point, do a control end to get to the end of the file, press right arrow once to make sure that I am at the end of the file, SR beeps showing the end of the file, I select end of selection and press delete. Instead of SR only deleting the marked area the entire contents of the file are getting erased. Up to now this has worked fine all the time. Now it only works for me to leave a very shortpiece of the file at the end when selecting what I want deleted and then go back and use control + right arrow to mark the small area and then press delete.
