Hi Rob,
Thanks a lot, that one passed me by. Maybe another option, and I stress
option with the current behaviour as a default, might be to reset the meter
when issuing the a command, so you can monitor in near real time the record
level with one keystroke, instead of two. What do you think? In other
words, I want the a command to optionally perform an ra. Is this do-able?

When you press A, you are reading the peak hold, not the current state of
the meter. If you wish, you can hit R before you hit A to reset the meter.

First, thanks for the new release. You guys are doing a great job.
One
thing I still miss that SR lacks though, is support for Directx plugins.
One thing I noticed however in 3.5, and it still happens in 3.5.1, and I am
not sure if it is a bug.
If you are recording, and you press A to read the meters, they never seem to
get updated. For example, I may get values of something like "-3.0, -2.5",
or something like that. Now every time I press A, they seem to latch on to
the first values grabbed and never update. The screen reader is reading the
values fine, but they don't seem to be updating. Neither do they update in
playback. Am I missing something? I even tried fading a track and watching
for updates, but they never seem to happen. I never seem to get a truly
dynamic reading of the meters at any given moment. If I do the same in
Sound Forge, and read the window I set up with Window-Eyes, the meters are
dynamically updated.
