This could be for a few reasons. One thing I'd consider avoiding is saving to a
network drive should your computer be connected to a network. Best to work/save
locally and then copy to your network drive when the project is complete if
applicable.
On a related note, I recommend setting Show preview handlers in preview pane to
OFF in your Windows Explorer Folder options in the View tab.
Microsoft also has some troubleshooting references to ensure your file has a
proper extension. It's also worth looking into whether another program is
accessing the file or folder, especially if you are for whatever reason working
from an OS temporary folder
If you aren't experiencing the problem with other files then you should do some
typical things like saving out to another file name and/or location.

Subject: [studiorecorder] Error when Saving a File
I've been working on an audio file and saving is periodically. Each time I
save it, I get an error that says "sharing violation". If I try a second time,
it works fine.
Any idea what's happening there?
