Nice thinking. The other good thing about the studio recorder tones is that
they also cut out the speech that is spoken while the tone is being played. The
down side is that while the bleep tone can be set to a very short or somewhat
longer tone and mute based on what is selected, it would be harder to have the
SR tones do this. You could, of course, make tones of different lengths, but
this is something one would have to be on top of.

My engineer, Roger Cicchese and I have discussed the following: while the bleep
tone is kind of locked in, there's another feature in SR that would allow you
to record your own 1000 HZ tone and access it anytime you need it.
Look in the manual for the feature involving the programmable number keys.
They already have
sounds associated with them but you can change or alter by re-recording new
sounds. This should help you solve your bleep tone problem. Good luck.
