I'm sure there's some psychological thing about it. Doesn't think he's good
enough for the things he is trying to protect or something like that. For now,
consider him one of those rough men standing ready to do violence on behalf of
the civilized, even as he believes he doesn't want too much of that

You know, for a guy who gets downright antsy in too much civilization, he seems
hells bent on bringing it here.

Sean sees each with a well hidden secret room, and spare horses for a regular

am sure Mawby would want a piece of it, but, and this is nothing against
Holly's good uncle, Sean would like one not necessarily connected to the
family. So we might garner information useful to Mawby, for a change.

Elmore would certainly like that idea, a string of fortified comfortable inns.

Depending upon his cut from Ezanus’s loot, Sean could see himself investing in

Eventually, a ranger lord.
I have to wonder about someone creating a walled inn, small courtyard.
Stables for about a dozen horses or so. The inn is stonework, with closable
inside shutters that can be barred on the ground floor. More or less a mini
fortress with the inn functioning as the keep. Shouldn't need more than a hand
and a half full of staff for stables and inn, along with a bouncer for the
occasional riff raff.

Don't think Tina has the same kind of high expectations that Bonaluria has.
Unsure just what Tina's background was before she came to the new world. She
has enough brawn to her that she tossed a man over her shoulder fireman style
and began marching off with him with Bonaluria's other lady in waiting
scampering after her. She might have been raised on a farm with that sort of
brawn and curves.

It's too bad Holly's telepathy can't let Carandolana know she needs to pick

tends to business.

Heh heh.
Sean’s original plan was to get Tina and have her walk with him, but I
don’t know that the guards would forward his request.
As for Bonaluria, I am sure Elmore has made it clear that he wants rank
first. Sean doesn’t actually care about that
