If he can extrude wire, chain links become simple. I've described this before
-- mount a metal rod a bit smaller than the diameter of the links you want, set
it on a secure pair of supports at the ends, slap a crank handle on the end
close to where a sturdy metal pin is drilled into the rod, then take a nice
amount of wire that'll work all the way down the rod, fold it over, put it on
the pin, and get a handle local hill giant to turn that handle while you feed
the wire while wearing heavy gloves. This will produce rings when the coil is
cut that are already open enough to run through other rings, removing the need
for open rings. (it's an annoying process, because if you open a ring too much
you run the risk of creating bends in the ring)
Remember too that not all chain is created equal, though the D&D variants don't
handle this well. Options range from a full hauberk that goes to the knees and
right above the wrists to a chain tank top, and then there's the chain mail
bikini that should be classed as AC10 but may increase charisma by a point.

Sicarius has blacksmith, armorer and weaponsmith as NWPs, as well as smelter.
Steve can determine whether that means he can make chain. Keep in mind, it's
time heavy - 45 days to make a suit of chain, btb.
The bracers: If Xander has better, then Wally or Estra (I don't know that she
wears armor), unless the ladies wish to wear it.
The staff +1, btb 1500. meaningless because it depends on what Steve wants to
value it at, but in the UA, a +1 quarterstaff goes for 1500gold

As you wish, it doesn't need a heavy supply of men at arms. Deeper doesn't
mean safer, I was thinking that it's not on the radar and so less likely to a
massive attack. A Wizard Lock on the door and some traps would keep it
relatively safe, but it's less work on my side if it stays with the seaside
caves.

It also doesn't have a heavy supply of men at arms to guard it while the OG
is away. I figured we could just use a deeper section of the original caves.
Dwarven and gnomish mercs not to mention Elmore's own troops, though the
later's combat capability may be rather meager. Elmore would like to purchase
bows and arrows and get some training for the 4 guardsmen he brought along.
Being a random selection, I also don't know what armor these are wearing as
Elmore only had 10 suits of chainmail plus whatever wooden shields and such we
scavenged from the goblin raid to add to the armory and arsenal after they've
been sharpened, maintenanced in the case of edged weapons, and armor has been
reworked, cannibalized. He has a lot of work and some expense in helping
protect his own men and acquiring a decent armory/arsenal. I believe his
captain wears the Chainmail +1 Elmore bought, and has been doing so since
Nesgrous was accompanying Sean in some of Sean's trips some time ago. The
enchanted armor is considerably lighter so the captain might be able to keep up
with the ranger.

Elmore is in favor of keeping the books to our own libraries. We establish
a nice clean dry room or network of rooms for their storage and study,
transcribing copies when necessary. A book bindery and means of making paper
might be in order at some point. These long lived elves can spend their days
transcribing books if they want their own library so badly. Far less dangerous
than going out and forcefully taking them from previous owners. Of course
they'd need to supply their own inks, paper, book binding materials etc as we
do not have those things in supply, certainly not in vast quantities.

can act the podunk hick to his cosmopolitan High Elf. Part of the reason for
the braggadocio. He plays all knowing wise man of the elder race. But we know
his folk are stagnant. He was surprised that Myndur Luzrid's lair was so
close. He has old knowledge, but nothing practical to weigh it against. The
lich apparently abducted two elven women likely a millennium ago, and they did
nothing about it. The dragon killed a Countess, and they did nothing about it.
We are the fresh blood that revitalizes. They are the old blue blood that
fears their own shadows." Sean pauses.
"That said, I truly wish good neighborly relations, and do not wish to

learn from them. Their knowledge is vast, though their ethics are not my cup

necessitates manipulation of others, ourselves included. Perhaps my shorter

So, we're already trend setting with a Sea-Dwarf Prince, no we can

Joking aside, much as Sean has enjoyed the company of Count Lazziar and the
Lady Namys, about the only book he is willing to give to the elves is Low-Down
Dirty High Elves, if for no other reason than to keep himself from quoting from
it. If the Lady wishes to send scholars to study our library, that would be
permitted, provided we could send scholars to study Elven texts, or at least
have access to them. Sean recommends the elves build a compound in the Cove
for their scholars, who would be afforded access to study the materials.
Knowledge is power, and while Sean is willing to share it, he is unwilling to
give it away.
That said, it is not his decision to make.
And, all that aside, Sean feels strongly that if we are going to gift
anyone these books, the giftee should be Kendrick.
Sean is interested in "Corrupting the Forest", "Corrupting a Paladin", and
"Becoming an Animal". Oh, and the Key to Magic.

Sean will leave the negotiations to Holly.
If Mawby is an "Uncle", is Holly to be known as Auntie
Holly?

Did Captain Borshberg work for Hackett, or was he an
associate? Sean tells him of the Storm Giant attack on the Cove, the
destruction of the Miss Huston, and the death of Hackett and all the crew. He
offers his condolences, and adds that the force behind the attack, a lich named
Myndur Luzrid, was dispatched by the party, as was the storm giant. He asks
him if he has the connections that Hackett had, and if he would like to work
with us. Assuming Lord hagar concurs, of course.

Well, then, with the permission of the rest, Agatha and
Sean, and anyone else that wants to come along, will give the Count a tour of
the facility.

Sean tells Lazziar, "There was some debate about
whether he were a mummy or a lich. He spoke and cast lightning bolts, though
we believe that was from his staff. No matter, he lasted about as long as his
devil tutor Bunny. We all had the impression that his soul was wrenched out of
him when we defeated him, which also lends support to the lich theory. He had
a large library, but it pretty much turned to dust. If we can arrange passage
on this yet unnamed ship, it will give us some time and I can take you on a
tour of what is left of his tomb. Perhaps you will have insight into some
things that we missed. I am sure we would all be particularly interested in
this ability to increase spells memorized, so long as it doesn't require
selling your soul to Bunny." Sean makes a note to mention to Xander and the
rest that the magic power of that tapestry might be nearly infinitely better
than a Gate.... truly, knowledge is power. Xander could have a school of
wizardry whose main purpose is to study in the room with the tapestry.
Provided there are no correspondingly steep costs.
As a quick scan of the other emails indicates that
Peter is being spoken to, all that remains is his ship name.

Lazziar is surprised to learn of Myrnud's tomb
being so close. He will admit he thought that mage was simiply an ancient
legend. He would like a tour of the tombs if possible. He supposedly had a
large library and a way to increase the number of spells he could learn in a
day which made him particularly powerful. Some claim he became a lich.
Captain Peter will turn over his cargoe to Holly
for 1500 gold that he is owed. There are 96 barrells of lagar, and 48 of stout
for the gnomes and dwarves. Also 6 pipes of wine for Pomeroy and Nancy and a
few more refined gnomes. The building materials Holly needs to complete the
warehouse and tavern. Grundeak hasn't made any proclamations for a while. His
new home is starting to emerge from the hillface, but there has been no work on
the tunnel during this time, the dwarves are focusing on getting Grundeak
undercover.
Who is chating with Captain Peter about a trip to
Arrell?
Actions.

Steve said you had when he advanced the time a
day or so. So yes, you can return.
Will Ahearn ever be cured? That's a far deeper
question.
