I thought we bought party tools but they were probably in Holly’s bag.Magic axe

could well have Holly take those and the unknown 5 potions with to get ID’d

Are you closing up the main entrance? (Probably the easiest to close.) Xander
cannot find a second suitable large boulder at this time. The snow may be
impacting your search though. Of course lots of tracks in the snow are going to
be like a flare for flying creatures looking for a meal of tasty gnomes and
humans.
The back porch is about 3 times the size of the main entrance. The secret door
would be easy to seal, but is a nice addition.

I'm just trying to get a handle on what is happening.
Carandolana is using Stone Shape to either block or restrict entre and egress
from the caverns through one of the three known entrances. I believe she is
blocking or restricting access through the "main" entrance.
Manrug's men found a largish boulder for Xander to "Item", and which will then
be placed somewhere to block entre or egress or simple movement either within
the cavern passages, or one of the entrances. Or, perhaps, the boulder will be
used to deal with any "gate" found within the cavern complex.
Sean and Ahearn need to rest a week.
Hagar wants to sweep the caverns clean, Carandolana does not, Manrug and his
officers are in agreement with Hagar, if Holly's special powers indicate a lack
of sentient life within, which they have on two or three separate sweeps.
It is still snowing.
The Overwatch Hill campsite has no structures to keep out the snow. No doubt
lean-tos and snow sheds could be constructed. we have a goodly amount of
manpower. The gnomes have suggested staying in the caverns, but there is a
disagreement amongst the party leadership as to whether it is a good idea to
clear the caverns while not at full strength.
There are two longboats full of coin.
Bobby is running low on flour.
John Mac's body is being kept on ice, or, at least, snow.
That is my recollection of where things stand.
Now, John Mac's been dead a day. I believe that his chances of being brought
back from the dead require him to be done so fairly soon, but Sean doesn't
know. If he is to be brought back, he needs to be first brought to Aarell.
That is something Holly would have to do. But, if the party is to sweep the
caverns, well, Holly's skills would be required there as well.
So, it's all a matter of how much time shall be spent waiting. If there is to
be no action made toward sweeping the caverns, then Holly should consider
taking John Mac to Aarell. Elmore, Holly and Alga can help select sufficient
highly valued gems and jewels to finance whatever is needed regarding raising
John Mac, etc. and thence hiring seaborne passage to the Cove. Of course, as
John Mac will also likely require rest after being raised, there will be nearly
a week at the Cove where Sean and Ahearn will be functional, but Holly and John
Mac will be in Aarell, or en route therefrom. And the likelihood of the Chaos
Brothers not lobbying to push into the caverns to clear them is likely so small
as to be mathematically incalculable without some fancy statistical
calculations.
So, all that said, what are we doing? What is Carandolana stoneshaping, and
where is Xander thinking of dropping his Itemized boulder? Is he even
Itemizing it?
And if Holly is going back to Aarell, make sure she arranges for more flour.
There will be a mutiny if the troops run out of Bobby's meat pies.
