If Xander studies it for 15 days, uninterrupted, he will gain a percentage
to learn any spell. Most likely, you would want to use Hagar's tower in
Aarell and obtain a guard or two to keep the hoi polloi out.
The charm text would work for druids, given the same 15-day requirement.
Hagar might run out of money by that time to make payroll.

Elmore would bring the book The Clavis or Key to Magic by Peterson to
Xander and ask his perusal, maybe even read it in depth, stating Elmore's
hope or belief that it might be of benefit to our favorite mage.
Xander did not seem to like Charm Person and other mind robbing spells as
his master abused the power and tossed his charmed victims aside when he
was done with them. Elmore's own former guardsman hasn't had that
experience though. Unsure off the top of my head if clerics have spells
that charm might be of benefit to. Wally however might benefit from them
after checking with the group. The Clavis book seemed like a no brainer and
wouldn't likely require consultation with group.
