I have the ring, I will make the first attempt, if it goes bad, I have the best
chance of surviving it. If I don't blow up but fail, we can go from there.

The party, save Donk, six gnomish archers, and the two cooks, who will remain
in camp with the baggage, assuming that is ok with the group, will return to
Tizar's End. The area remains as it was yesterday. The crypts remain as you
recall them.
Can I assume, Sean, Nesgrous, Wally, Padrock, and Wolfgang are going to be
dropped off at "back porch" area of the caverns? The rest of the party will
make it to the graveyard. Manrug will ask how you want to gnomes deployed
(unless they want them to all remain at the base camp).
To save time, who is going to try to remove the traps on the eastern and
western doors? One at a time? Which first? East? Holly or Ahearn? Is anyone
casting fire resistance on her/him prior to their playing with the trap?

The DM will assume that Ahearn and John Mac will each toss a
stone at the same time, Ahearn's will land at the right side of the entrance
about a foot or so inside. John Mac's will go further inside. Both will light
up the cave entrance briefly. There are bunches of moving shadows inside. After
about three minutes the lights are extinguished. The moving shadows continue
afterwards.
Above, Holly will sense about three or four voices. One
pleading for mercy, one demanding sacrifice and obedience, and a couple more
lizard brain types thinking about eating fresh flesh. It is hard to distinguish
how many of the last are there as they are indistinguishable from each other.

Ahearn is certain that the
eastern crypt door is trapped with some type of explosive trap. Probably fire
from the bits of ash you find on the door. The structure seems relatively
unchanged, maybe a bit more beaten up. You do hear something inside, but you
can't figure out what it is.
The western crypt is also
trapped with some sort of explosive ruins or trap. This door smells of sulfur
and urine. You hear nothing in the western crypt. Structure is also fairly much
the same as you remember.

Subject: [stoddard] Re: The
Turtle Goes south
As mentioned, the graveyard
has definitely seen some battles. There are some discarded weapons; mostly
goblin quality. Sean is gathering them up into a pile a scrap metal. There are
extremely few pieces of equipment and almost no remains save a couple of random
digits here or there. No complete bodies are visible. There are no recent
graves and most of the extant graves appear to have been opened and emptied.
If Ahearn is going into the
crypts, will he start with the eastern or western one? The doors of each are
closed.

Subject: [stoddard] Re:
The Turtle Goes south
It is possible for Sean
and Ahearn to meet the larger group and make the landing a bit softer. Sean and
Ahearn will have bad memories of the two crypts in the graveyard and did not
enter them. They do still reek of the undead and rotting creatures. There are
bugbear and goblin weapons around. Lots of large blackened patches probably
from unnatural forces. There are a couple of dragon prints in the ground,
though they are not recent. Damn they are large.

We go in 3

between the three waves. I am guessing we secure our long boats at our landing
and can use them to either ferry back and forth to the Flying Turtle or around
the coast to Dugal Cove as a secondary front supporting a land attack.
I am guessing
the Goblins if they secured the graveyard either occupy it or trapped it up so
be careful going in.
Lets make

Holly's

Hurrumph,
Holly good, recon the crypts and the cove too.
Jethro, I
am not sure the cove is exactly safe to just sail into. Our first goal was to
clear out the crypts so I think we shall stay the course and clear out the
crypts then head to the cove.
If Holly
reports not much at the crypts and nothing at the cove like Duthoron sensed
then you might eb safe to sail in but I'd say plan to drop us off near the
crypt and let us march in. We can send someone to let you know if it is good
to enter the cove. Of course, if you want to go hunt for enemy ships so be it.
Getting us here is half the battle to me.
Group,
sound like a plan? Land, march to Crypt then on to the Cove. CLear out the
area then dig in for the Gobs and other nasties.

[stoddard] Re: The Turtle Goes south
“So, is the
plan still to offload a ways away from the beach of the cove, out of their site
and make our way to the crypts to see who’s taken up residence, deal with any
goblins there before we check out the cove? If there are goblins nesting in the
crypts, we don’t want them showing up when we are trying to deal with the Cove
again. It’s somewhat worrisome if we show up and there’s more demons or devils
like last time. Two out of the three of our main warriors we had last time
aren’t here. “ Elmore

Ok, Jethro
has the group going south. The crew will spot several hunks of debris along the
coast from the storms. You will otherwise have an uneventful trip south. When
the Turtle is about 3 or 4 miles north of Dugal's Cove, Jethro asks if you have
a plan?
