OOC I had not read the previous post but yes, Elmore would have gone on the
hunt.

Sean is able to find a smaller buck just west of the burial ground. It is as if
the buck was sent to stand there and be ready to be sacrificed. Any last
desireS? Any sign on bounty for men at arms or gnomes at arms? .

Before we leave in the morning, Sean wants to find and make a sacrifice of a

OOC: All this God talk, coupled with an app that gives me an Anglo-Saxon word
every day, made me think that in a world where gods are real, throwing them a
bone (literally in this case) every now and again can’t hurt.
Oh, the Anglo Saxon word for Saturday was fyrd-tiber, which means a sacrifice
made on the eve of a military expedition. A buck sacrificed to bring Artor the
Hunter’s beneficence upon us can’t hurt. As Agatha is not Artorian, Sean would
ask Elmore to join him in the hunt.
And, were I a superstitious man, I would have something to say about the
coincidence of fyrd-tiber coming up, but I am sure it was just a coincidence,
and not Artor imposing His will in the primest of the prime material planes.

That wasn't the question. Would Elmore believe what he was told? I'm pretty
sure the rest of the Octagonal Grapefruits are at least skeptical about
Ahearn's statements about Mother, but it seems he's either believing it all the
way or perpetrating a long and deep con on the rest of the group.

If Artor told Elmore a dragon was safe after said dragon killed Gwynn and
others like the elves we ran across, I think people other people might be
thinking he's a little nuts or being sent false visions to manipulate him or
something. I don't know that they'd take what he thinks at face value either.

Hey, that's just the bias of good aligned people. And Mother said it'd be safe,
so that's all Ahearn needs to know, right? If Artor told Elmore something was
safe, would he accept his deity's guidance, or question the one he worships?
I'm sure everyone knows where Carandolana would fall in that situation.

True, though going from giant eagles that might at least be neutral to angry
dragon is quite a leap.

Yeah, dragons tend not to do well at herding, because they're herding their
