around, and patrolling around, that graveyard for many months, yet this is the
first time Her Lady's forces have been seen within a day's travel of the
graveyard. Indeed, we have defeated Droolbane forces there on multiple
occasions, as well as the forces of Pirate Admiral Golding, a raid by forces of
Jarnell the Jolly and Ingos the Dolphin, more pirates I know some of your
number have had contact with. In addition, we have encountered the dragon
Ezanus the Evergreen there, seen a couple of other dragons overflying the area,
and encountered a force of netherworldly ghul. We have paid for that graveyard
in blood. But, I am sure that a mutually agreeable border can be ironed out."
Sean smiles, but keeps a wary eye.
"As for any balance regarding the Droolbane, I am uninterested in keeping them
as a balance. What the rest of our group may or may not wish to do is a
different matter, of course. Your priest Northen also expressed a desire for a
balance of power as well as a desire to avoid a power vacuum. It is my intent
to shatter the power of the Droolbane. They offer no good, and if not dealt
with represent a perpetual and potentially deadly threat. Again, my comrades
may chose a different course, but I prefer to remove threats, not placate
them." Pausing briefly, Sean continues. "Without intimating any intent to in
any way interfere with, or require permission for, your journey north, may I
inquire as to what has brought your esteemed presence north at this time? Did
you come looking for the dwarves? That would be most pleasing, and we will
gladly guide you to our Hold. If that is not why you are here, I would not
wish to interfere with whatever brought you our way, but would nonetheless
invite you to come to the Cove and discuss matters of open relations with our
full company."
