Re: Elmore, Holly, Johnny, and Hagar Grundeack will give Hagar a look and then
speak as only a prophet can as if you must be correct and to disagree is
something beyond foolhardy. "Lord, I have come to you, sent by Trane as he sent
our race here. That hill is where I am to create my anchoret. It is not my
choice but the choice of those who use me. The ranger is not to build there,
Artor has other plans for him. So he tells me. He may surely live atop the
hill, but if your miners can start helping me, I will live below the hill. I
am a gift from the gods to Lord Hagar, do not deny the gift, it would most
likely snow. (Is Holly trying to listen in on Grundeack right now?)Pomeroy
will ask Siracius what he thinks, also Elmore, the other cleric here. Count
Lazziar watches this sort of unfold. He might be enjoying watching this. He
will acknowledge that there is a perception, but not a proven fact that the
forces of evil in the area seem to know more than they should. On Sun, Jan 15,

OOC: It's not about the style of house or where it's made of, it's about being
closer to defense. The Scandinavians didn't have dragons, ogres, minotaurs or
the other kinds of threats we've been dealing with. Most of theirs were from
other humans or maybe natural disasters, sickness etc.
You did hear that they put bar codes on their naval ships so when the ships?
It's so when the ships came back they could just Scandinavian.

OOC Sean has a wife to think of and too far from our settlement gets dangerous
for civilians like our significant others and children. Sod house sounds like a
bachelor ranger.

OOC: Sorry, didn't mean to cause an issue, I was just trying to make sure
Observation Hill was actually Overwatch Hill.
Were Sean in the Cove, he would remind Hagar that the land is a tool for the
Lord of the land to dole out as necessary to whomsoever for whatsoever purpose
the Lord wishes. If Hagar wishes Groondeack to have a
cave/hovel/shrine/mine/whatever in Overwatch Hill, then Hagar should allow it.
Sean isn't even sure he can convince Tina to move here (though he's pretty sure
he can). Having Groondeack may well be a boon for immigration of dwarves from
Stoddard, which is probably worth it. Certainly worth more than a crazy assed
young human ranger who gets stir crazy every six weeks or so and probably adds
nothing to the desirability of the Cove as a settlement location.

Well, true many parts of Dugal Cove have been spoken for. The use of my
Dwarven builders and your final spot will have to be negotiated with the
council to when the Dwarves can be adjusted to tackle your building needs and
to the loction. I wish to serve the gods too and help enlighten your commune
so be patient but in the mean time I can secure a secluded space within the
caves or let you find a temporry resting spot plus your are free to wonder the
cove lands to gather with the gods until time. Fret not, this place is tame
but wild enough to serve your needs. Ever want to kill Goblins let me know
they are like ants and we can always rustle some up. and grins

“Um, I think my ranger comrade has already called dibs on that particular
piece of land on what we call Overwatch Hill , future residence of him and his

and clarify with him exactly where you mean to carve your home. He’s had much
more stake in all this than you have Grundeack. I have still yet to determine a
good defensible place for a temple to Artor. Doesn’t seem appropriate to be
holed up in a cave as a long term location for his temple even though the caves
would be fairly secure. A means of letting sunlight and life into the place
might make it more appealing. Making a portion of the caverns less cave like
might make Hagar’s holdings more appealing by elven standards. Think Artor
wanted a shrine to him placed in the area where the nasty one’s shrine once
was. A connecting hospital similar to the one in RL along with elegant living
quarters fashioned out of a portion. I have a bride to be as well even if she
is only an intended. Hole in the ground would not be her idea of a place to
call home.

He would like to build it near your observation hill, so he can see the river
and the sea.
