OOC: Yeah, we don't seem to do unmortared stone fences in the southwest -- it's 
all barbed wire, split rail, or welded steel for those who spend real money on 
fences. Part of that was because of the need to range cattle, hence the Texas 
law still on the books about carrying wire cutters or pliers in the back pocket 
of a pair of jeans.

OOC: Not really any un-mortared stone fences where I'm at that I've noticed. 
Old schools may have mortared stone fences around their property as a 
demarcation of the school property line. Those fences were often built by 
depression era Work Projects Administration or other job creation programs 
similar but not many private properties. Usually it's net wire lower portion 
and barb wire the top three lines for goats and sheep, or just barbwire for 
larger livestock. School I attended was a small country school played six man 
football, and the school was old, think predating the first world war. I'd have 
to find my annual and see the capstone on the front of the school building. 
Building has been replaced in three stages since then so only stage one was 
there when I finished high school.

Hey, fences can be made out of non mortared rock. It's like that thing on good 
neighbors and mended fences, though if it's a corral, and not a border fence 
between neighbors , won't have the neighbor helping with it's upkeep.

to be proper resource allocation in a scarcity environment -- wood is for boats 
and ships and corrals and other such things, the sod is best used for things

OOC:  Sorry, didn't mean to cause an issue, I was just trying to make sure 
Observation Hill was actually Overwatch Hill.


Were Sean in the Cove, he would remind Hagar that the land is a tool for the 
Lord of the land to dole out as necessary to whomsoever for whatsoever purpose 
the Lord wishes.  If Hagar wishes Groondeack to have a 
cave/hovel/shrine/mine/whatever in Overwatch Hill, then Hagar should allow it.  
Sean isn't even sure he can convince Tina to move here (though he's pretty sure 
he can).  Having Groondeack may well be a boon for immigration of dwarves from 
Stoddard, which is probably worth it.  Certainly worth more than a crazy assed 
young human ranger who gets stir crazy every six weeks or so and probably adds 
nothing to the desirability of the Cove as a settlement location.

Well, true many parts of Dugal Cove have been spoken for.  The use of my 
Dwarven builders and your final spot will have to be negotiated with the 
council to when the Dwarves can be adjusted to tackle your building needs and 
to the loction.  I wish to serve the gods too and help enlighten your commune 
so be patient but in the mean time I can secure a secluded space within the 
caves or let you find a temporry resting spot plus your are free to wonder the 
cove lands to gather with the gods until time.  Fret not, this place is tame 
but wild enough to serve your needs.  Ever want to kill Goblins let me know  
they are like ants and we can always rustle some up.  and grins
