Sean figures it will be that long before anyone is willing to make a
run at the dragon again. A month? Two?
So, Sean will tell Cizvar that the dragon hunt has to wait. Assuming
he can convince him that is fine, he will leave Cizvar in Holly's capable
hands, and leave for Aarell. He'd like to go with some loot, but if it
hasn't been divided yet, he'll go without. He plans on returning at the
end of the anticipated pegasus training time. He would like Agatha to
remain at the cove to maintain vigilant patrols, but knows better than to
expect her to actually acquiesce to his wishes.
If he can get some coin, he will happily make any purchases and such
as anyone here needs. That said, his plan is to be with Tina pretty much
the whole time. Barring anything anyone asks him to handle prior to his
leaving.
Of course, this is all subject to change as others chime in.

interesting fellow. He's essentially told me that the elves wouldn't mind

appear neutral. Assuming the dragon can be dealt with, they might make
good neighbors. As for the dragon hunt... Cizvar wants to go hunt a
dragon. I don't think anyone else is particularly thrilled with the idea.
I want to go home. But I can't do that until Ezanus is dealt with. It
would gnaw at me otherwise. We slaughtered near a hundred Droolbane of
various species on the Punitive Expedition, but the goblins are too stupid
to surrender. At this point, I am thinking we keep them around, to help
train new men. That is the only purpose they can usefully serve. Hagar,
of course, would prefer we defeat them by befriending them. I prefer a
more permanent solution, but they really aren't as dangerous as the
dragon. THe elvish Count says they are dealing with three dragons, but
didn't elaborate on the name of the third. That jibes with our own
sightings. Maybe killing one keeps the others off our backs, or maybe
killing one puts a target on our backs. Either way, we make bank." Sean
pauses briefly. "From what I can tell, the long lived elves spend an
inordinate amount of time in internecine squabbling and court intrigue.
Nothing I have the patience for, so I sure as Artor hope nobody is silly

spending money to hire folks, purchase building
supplies, and everything
else for building a homestead.
Sean will approach Manrug sometime before he
leaves, hopefully
sometime before he chats with the elves. "Captain,
you have two men, Dangal
and Sinyur, who are butchers. Would they, under
command of Kelbis, be
permitted to come along? Once we kill this thing, a
skilled butcher, or
taxidermist, would be helpful in harvesting its hide.
I want everyone in
the Cove to have something made from the wee beastie.
I'm hoping to be able
to make signaling horns, hopefully with distinctive
sounds, so that we would
tell messages from the pitch. Anyway, if your men
come along, and stay out
of the fray, they will be in position to field strip
the hide quickly,
preserving more of it for use.

complicated balance of
