Since this is becoming a multi-day thing, and since Carandolana didn't go on
the trip to Ahearn's, she'll go back to her 6 castings of Goodberry per day
routine. D1=entangle, faerie fire, and speak with animals, all times two. D3=
Summon Insects (x2), and Splinter Wood, and D4=Dispel Magic. This spell load
will continue until a need arises for a change, or a week, whichever comes
first.

Sean is very relieved to see Estra.

is an interesting fellow. He's essentially told me that the elves wouldn't
mind it if we kill Ezanus, but they won't lift a finger to help. They wish to
appear neutral. Assuming the dragon can be dealt with, they might make good
neighbors. As for the dragon hunt... Cizvar wants to go hunt a dragon. I
don't think anyone else is particularly thrilled with the idea. I want to go
home. But I can't do that until Ezanus is dealt with. It would gnaw at me
otherwise. We slaughtered near a hundred Droolbane of various species on the
Punitive Expedition, but the goblins are too stupid to surrender. At this
point, I am thinking we keep them around, to help train new men. That is the
only purpose they can usefully serve. Hagar, of course, would prefer we defeat
them by befriending them. I prefer a more permanent solution, but they really
aren't as dangerous as the dragon. THe elvish Count says they are dealing with
three dragons, but didn't elaborate on the name of the third. That jibes with
our own sightings. Maybe killing one keeps the others off our backs, or maybe
killing one puts a target on our backs. Either way, we make bank." Sean
pauses briefly. "From what I can tell, the long lived elves spend an
inordinate amount of time in internecine squabbling and court intrigue.
Nothing I have the patience for, so I sure as Artor hope nobody is silly enough
to recommend I head an embassy to their court. Frankly, Speaker Greenmantle's
consort would be well suited to such a role."
Sean blushes a bit. "I am sorry,
brother, I shall leave you two. I still intend to take Cizvar out hunting.
I'll give it tomorrow and leave in two days. You are welcome to attend. If
the lot come along, we attack Ezanus's lair. If not, I do. Maybe."

Everything is in good order. Everyone seems happy. The cat did scare the heck
out of the survey crew, but they got aware unharmed. Estra will be demonstrably

update on both the Count and the dragon hunt.

We were told she headed out to your
steading to check on it after she was
not invited to go along on the goblin
raid. Carandolana talked with her
before the druid flew out to Bear Creek
and the goblin killing party left.
But Carandolana isn't going to bust
anyone's chops for leaving Oestra out,
because she doesn't know the whole
story as to why that was done.

anyone asked after her? Pomeroy healed
everyone up. Cizvar is looking for
beer. Pomeroy feels Sean should not go

OOC I wrote that I was going to
talk to Ahearn the following day,
before talking to the elf.
I was planning (such as it is)
to bring along rope and dropping
through the hole in his roof. I figure
his defenses are designed on the
obvious entrances.

or not come along. Sean is taking his
giant to hunt dragon, at the giant's
request. And he won't be ordering
anyone else into battle (except Agatha,
I suppose, since she is his
apprentice, so to speak). Or even
asking them to come along. He's looking
to make a score, and then live happily
ever after with Tina.

Sean will be taking Agatha and
Cizvar out tomorrow. Cizvar has also
requested that Holly attend, though she
is free to do as she wishes. Anyone
else is welcome to join. It would be
nice to hear the scrying results

Similarly, it would be nice to hear at
least acknowledgment from Count Lazziar
before he goes, but even less
necessary.
If asked about why he's in such
a hurry (as if he is never in such a
hurry), Sean will simply say he wants
to go see Tina, and he intends to
leave nothing behind waiting to be
done. Also, he figures he'll need
spending money to hire folks, purchase
building supplies, and everything
else for building a homestead.
Sean will approach Manrug
sometime before he leaves, hopefully
sometime before he chats with the
elves. "Captain, you have two men, Dangal
and Sinyur, who are butchers. Would
they, under command of Kelbis, be
permitted to come along? Once we kill
this thing, a skilled butcher, or
taxidermist, would be helpful in
harvesting its hide. I want everyone in
the Cove to have something made from
the wee beastie. I'm hoping to be able
to make signaling horns, hopefully with
distinctive sounds, so that we would
tell messages from the pitch. Anyway,
if your men come along, and stay out
of the fray, they will be in position
to field strip the hide quickly,
preserving more of it for use.
