Hagar has a bit of a struggle opening the door. It is a solid stone thing of
excellent workmanship. The area behind the door is about 25 x 25. It appears to
be an ancient shrine to the Queen of Knowledge. The entire areaincluding the
red marble stairs is bathed in a brick red light. The altar ismade of ancient
whitened bones. Mostly what appear to be human femurs andhumerouses. The top of
the altar has a red marble top in the shape of a largeplate on which sit four
human skulls and one potentially diabolic skull at thetop. In the mouth of
three of the skulls are rotting sheaves of paper, maybeancient scrolls? It is
possible that you identify the remains of ash on theplate as if there have been
burnt offerings here in the past. The steps goingdown are webbed with cobwebs
and dust. They appear to not have been used in decades.
