Rob has a trick where she does something similar. She will puree the
veggies with fruit, making sure the sweetness of the fruit offsets any bitter
tang
of the veggies, adding a touch of brown sugar only if necessary. Voila! A
dessert or pudding-like snack. She also looks for interesting veg-based
recipes, like shredded carrots with raisons. Many of the kids like pickles as
a
snack, baby gherkins being especially sweet, as are black olives(pitted).
Some even like sliced pickles on peanut butter(no jelly!) sandwiches,
especially
the boys. Boys tend to have strange taste buds. There are corn and potato
fritters that can be serve like pancakes with either a light amount of syrup
or jam.

Also, you'd be surprised the number of vegs you can dice up into tuna,
chicken, turkey, ham and egg salads. I've found celery, onions, bell peppers
of
all colors, shredded carrots, etc. Experiment with that in small amounts
until you find what works. Oh, and in our house we use Miracle Whip instead
of
mayo, but your tastes may vary.

Rob also swears by juicing. Every morning the juicer is buzzing to gush
forth one or more of her formulas. A basic one has sugar beets, carrots,
apples(no core/seeds), and celery. She also stocks up on several flavors of Dr

Brown's sodas, like Celery.

Main thing is, get it tasting somewhat sweet, don't tell them what's in it,
and it gets sucked down wholesale.

Mark

It's called Puree! Get it down to the mush..and mix it with mashed
potatoes..If he likes peanut butter...make "ants on a log".. Celery sticks
filled with
PB and topped with raisins. Mmmmm good. Also, if he likes oatmeal.. you can
add pills that are ground up and even a dash of PB in with a hot bowl of
Quaker Oatmeal. They have the instant kind you nuke in the microwave. Really
tastes good. Plus..it's good for them.

Hello all,
I hope all is well, glad to hear Quay that things are going better. As far
as the Baby name thing is going, we've finally decided, Dean Oliver Moore
for a boy and Julianna Lynn Moore for a girl. I have a question for parents of
the strand. I have a five and a half year old that refuses to eat veggies
and has now been deemed vitamin deficient with Omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin
D. This is causing his ADHD like symptoms and since Meds are evil and make
him act like a meth addict, grinding his teeth to the point of almost not
having any as well as severe aggression and auditory issues, we have removed
him
off of all meds. Anyone have any swift ideas on how to HIDE veggies in the
food that he eats? So far I've tried but he's a smart one and has found every
bit of what I hide. Any hints would help immensely, thanks.
