I tried STEEM some more under Linux. A few things/wishes/suggestions: - - the keyboard mapping is duff (I have to use 25 shortcuts or so to have ~ ST keyboard mapping which allows programming while I do not need to do ~ that in the Windows version) - - I miss the possibility to create disk images from within STEEM in the ~ Linux version. (It is not a severe fault.) - - Is a fullscreen mode planned? - - What about joystick support and not only keyboard emulation?
As under Linux the sound always seemed unstable and a little bit dodgy I now found a setup that works on my machine and allows me to hear the Yammy in an acceptable way while running STEEM:
- - Sound Chip Sound - - 22khz - - 8bit mono
The quality is ok while not perfect. Enough to play some games without muting the yammy now.
This really is a great piece of software and I hope the Linux version will be improved sometime.
