I fully understand that the current roster issues that prevent Austin from
getting a roster spot, but that doesn't make me like it.
DJ, Chase and George are your top 3 WR. Boykins is a fixture on ST. The bigger
issue is that Gunner and Sims are holding down the same spot.
Gunner is a solid tackler on STs even if not on return duty. My problem is that
we are officially in a re-build and now is the time to get
young guys like Austin on the field to see what we have. He is not a savior,
nor may he ever crack the Top 3 himself, but I want to
see what he looks like now. Build some chemistry with Kenny and maybe add a
little spark on O.
The other issue is the rotating cast of characters in the secondary that also
ties up spots.
Like I said I understand the decision, I just don't like it.
