ALL OF THIS, Scott. At the risk of sounding like whatever, I'm kinda looking
forward to drafting high...provided they don't wet the bed with it.
Thanks,

The Steelers D played 3 solid quarters Sunday following a solid game vs.
Tampa. The dropped INTs kill me, especially Edmunds and Sutton but they did
their job and the O did not. That said one of those INT's prevents a Tampa FG
and may change the Steelers game plan and maybe Kenny doesn't throw one of his
picks.
The offense has struggled under Mitch and Kenny. Both have moved between the
20's at times but the red zone and overall execution is not good to say the
least. DJ does not look like the guy who rightfully earned a raise. Claypool
had one good quarter. Najee is getting better but not looking like the guy who
was named Captainand expected to be a key to this offense. Muth is holding
steady and underutilized as Steelers TE's often are. Pickens is the real deal,
but also under utilized.
2 key stats I heard.
- The Steelers are the only offense NOT to score 20 points in a game
- Pickens is now the leading WR after 7 weeks with less targets and catches
than Chase or DJ
The OC is a major issue. The team is doing the same predictable "trick" plays
over and over again. We don't go deep and we don't use the middle of the field.
Kenny forced some passes, and may have been gun shy but the issues of playing
in our fears has been season long and that comes back to the OC. After the
spanking I fully expect in Philly I pray Canada is gone.
Kenny is a rookie making rookie mistakes. This team COULD have won against the
Jets, Miami, Cle and Pats but did not. We also should have lost to Cincy. We
are OFFICIALLY in a rebuild and I am happy. playing for 500 every year is
stupid. Let Kenny and the youngins grow and build for the future. I realize we
are wasting Cam and such but we are not going on a deep run with this team
right now. There are lots of positives and we need to suffer throughthe
negatives to get to where we want to be.
Weekly improvement is the key and the second half schedule is much easier than
the first.
I genuinely think by Week 17 this offense is borderline scary to opponents.
