While I am certainly hopeful regarding Pickett, only time will tell if he does
a Josh Allen-like turnaround and clean up the INTs after his rookie season or
if he is the second coming of Carson Wentz. I remain bullish on him.
I see the biggest issue with this team as the running game. They are reaping
what they’ve sown – since DeCastro was drafted 10 years ago, they have only
drafted one OL in the first three rounds: Kendrick Green, who doesn’t look like
he’ll be long in this league. I really wish they had drafted Humphrey instead
of Freiermuth last year.

Totally agree, and it's one of the things that absolutely drives me nuts
watching them.
Pickett clearly 'gets it', just made a couple of bad decisions.
They have two really good running backs, and just need better line play.
Pickens is going to be the next AB.
If Le'al can be 'that guy', the combo of him, Watt, and Highsmith is going to
be an absolute menace.
Quietly, Pierre is playing really well.
It's just missing a couple of pieces, a couple of plays here and there (like
the 4 dropped picks), but if you watch these games, you can see what this team
could be in a couple of years. That drive in the 2nd quarter that went like 86
yards gave you a glimpse of it.

I see signs this team has potential and I really am liking the growing pains
for KP8, so I'm choosing to be thinking glass half-full in what admittedly will
be a lost season.
I envision in a year or two how this team could compete in the AFC.
