If not in house pick of Hunt, my hope is Weidl or Riddick. Have ready very
little negative about Riddck. Riddick has the Pitt connect and Weidl is from
Mt. Lebanon which could be a tie breaker in the end.
I have a friend who knows Weidl and considers him an intelligent/rational
person. Puts in the hours at work, but still is a good dad/husband. We shall
see.

Now Doug Whaley gets a second interview. This is interesting, because I’ve
heard some things about his time in Buffalo that ended badly, also, he’s
quite a ubiquitous talking head in local media circles too.
I’m quite easy about this whole process, if they pick an external candidate
(which I now think is a better than 50-50 chance) then I’d go along with
that because of the thorough nature of this process, but in saying that, I
would not give Whaley the job, no way.
