So far, no good.....this is starting to look like what I feared, that the
Steelers could have waited until the 2nd and still gotten their pick of the

Likely to be runs on 3-4 of those positions. I have hopes and dreams
for Jones, Moore or Brisker but won't be surprised by Ojabo just so people
can complain we now have 2 players who "may" not play this year.

Okay, let’s set the stage for pick 52. Again, you always look at
players and not teams when trying to map this out, so let’s go position by
position looking at players with solid second round grades…
QB - 4 of them, you know the names
RB - Walker and Hall
WR - I’d say there are four with second round grades, Watson, Moore,
Metchie and Pickens
TE - McBride and Dulcich
OL - Raimann and Lucas at T, Parham and Kinnard at G, Jurgens at C
DE - 4 guys here Ebiketie, Hall, Paschal, Leal
DT - Jones, Winfrey, Mathis
LB - Dean and Harris inside, Ojabo, Mafe, Jackson, Bonitto outside
DB - Booth, Gordon, McCreary at corner, Pitre, Brisker at safety
That’s 35 names - now, not all of these guys are at positions of need
or fit the Steelers, but there should be something here for them. They
really need that run on QB’s before they pick because that will force more
names at positions of need down to them. Also, names that aren’t listed
here, we need some reaches. I doubt that with the possible exception of
Metchie that any of the receivers will get to pick 52, DT os more likely
with Winfrey and Mathis. Maybe Brisker at safety. And Ojabo would still be
on my board too, despite the fact that he’s not a strict need and he will
probably redshirt his rookie campaign.
