I agree with you - Flores would not be a good fit here with Tomlin's hand in
the defense.
Showing my age, when the headline first came out that Flores was suing the NFL,
I couldn't figure out why Tom Flores would want to sue the NFL. 🙄

Most believe Austin will be promoted. The Steelers, unlike apparently every
team that interviewed Brian Flores , have already satisfied the Rooney Rule.
Dulac was on radio and rightly noted that Austin has relationship with Caldwell
and could/would likely leave if Caldwell got a new head coaching gig.
So, the Steelers now have a potential hire on staff, potential replacements
interviewed or simply coaches that could work here down the line.
That said, while speaking of Flores, even if Tomlin wanted to hire the guy I
don’t know that it helps anything. Flores gets a job, yes, but as far as the
Steelers Tomlin isn’t likely to relinquish his hands on approach to coaching
the D and Flores will be distracted by the drama created by his lawsuit so
Flores not likely to come here.
This off season just gets more and more interesting. Ben, Brady gone. Rodgers ,
Watson, Jimmy G and Wilson drama still lingers. Flores lawsuit and we haven’t
finished the Super Bowl. Won’t be a slow news year.
