25000m plus a few more before the start and after the finish. Very sunny and
hot all day.
I think we were second in our class but that will become clear later.
We were awarded the Harry Clasper award for for sportsmanship , our rudder
fitting sheared away after a few kilometres so we zigzagged down the Tyne
using a paddle to steer(badly). So that is more to go in the awards cabinet.
Thanks to bev for arranging this superb event and for Andrew for towing.
