Dear club members ,
We will have one boat available at any given time to keep rowing over the
winter months with the aim to be as flexible as possible to allow those who
wish to get out the maximum opportunity to do so . In the same breath we would
like to avoid death by doodle and email but keep everyone informed of when the
boat is going out .
The intention is to suspend the formally organised sessions at the end of this
month and move to a more ad hoc format . If you would like to organise a row be
that weekdays or weekends please do the following ;
1) identify your preferred day and time ( the tide times for November and
December are attached to allow for ease of planning ) and let either myself or
Bev know via email .
2) email the club asking for rowers indicating if it is to be an easy or
strenuous row with replies directly to your email address.
3) the crew must include a club cox and shore person .
4) once you have 6 names and are good to go please confirm with once again
myself or Bev to juliehardisty@xxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:juliehardisty@xxxxxxxxxxx>
or bevstmonans@xxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bevstmonans@xxxxxxxxxxx>.
The hope is that this will allow for more spontaneity if there is a weather
window accommodating those who work shifts , are limited to the weekends or
lucky enough to be retired ,maximum use of the skiff .
If you have done the cox training but not had much of a chance to practice then
the harbour is the ideal place for you to buddy up with a more experienced cox
and give it a whirl .
We can trial this over November and December then ,with your feedback, assess
its suitability .
Regards
Julie & Bev
