Perry, 64, of Montgomery and formerly of Linton, passed away onMay 27, 2009.He was born to Leon Perry and Barbara (Frankenfield) Stafford. He was thestep son of the late Arthur M. Risher.Jackie was a retired truck driver of many years. Trucking was his life. He had also served as a Linton Firefighter and Police Officer. Jackie was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest and appreciated the many friends he had along the way. He was a member of the American Legion, Pike County Radio Club, Dugger Amateur Radio Club and the Lincoln Country Trail Riders. On the 27th of May 2009 Jackie L. Perry, W9JCV, passed from this life and became asilent key of the Amateur Radio Community.Jackie leaves behind a son, JL (Angie) Perry of Linton; a daughter, Wendy G. (Kyle) Smith; granddaughter, Chloe A. Smith; two grandsons, Wyatt L. Roberts and Clay H. Smith all of Brownsburg, IN; a sister, Honey L. (Kenneth) Poole;niece, Heather K. Poole; nephew Dwight A. Wheeler, all of Fishers, IN.Calling will be from 3 - 8 p.m. Sunday May 31 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Funeral service will be Monday, June 1, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bill Walkerofficiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
