Watched that very long interview of that economic professor who proposes
that
our national debit is over 200 trillion and the fact is being kept from
the public. If
true then it is a failure of our captilist paradise so don't blame the
socialists or
communists. Great argument for a bigger socialist movement here like in
France.

It never ceases to amaze me the things people like Stan will beleive that
politicians tell them.
Pensioners in Detroit just found out they will be getting 16 cents on the
dollar on their pensions. It was known ten years ago that Detroit was in
financial trouble and would never be able to pay the pensions and medical
benefits they promised, but instead of doing something about it the
politicians just kept borrowing more and more money to keep the charade going,
and
themselves in power, until it all finally collapsed.

country is in worse fiscal shape by many miles than Detroit. So, the country
is essentially bankrupt.” Dr. Kotlikoff estimates the long term debt and
