Everyone
1. China has roughly 4 times the population we have. A bigger work force to
keep employed and a bigger
market like for fuel, raw goods, etc.
2. They allow only one party, the iron fisted communist party.
3. They do allow some private industry and in some cases the government will
subsidize important ones like
Ship building, passenger airplanes, Electric cars, electronics, etc.
4. China insists on not importing many foreign products that they can
manufacture like cars which they want
to sell here like Volvos and soon GMs. No possible balance of trade, cheap,
cheap, cheap talks.
5. When foreigners want to manufacture in China they insist on Joint Ventures
where the government is
the other partner, no secrets allowed.
6. A major manufacturing section is illegal copy cating without paying
royalties. Go sue them in their courts?
7. GM reports that China buys 4 Buicks to 1 here. A bigger market but their
supposedly low wage people
has to make enough to pay the bill. Go figure.
8. Rich Chinese (I suspect with government backing?) buys our expensive real
estate and our buisnesses
but are foreigners allowed to buy Chinese real estate and their businesses?
9. Foreigners are allowed to buy stocks and take a bath when theirs take a dive.
10. Their students are required to learn more then ours, a bigger alphabet and
English to and jobs waiting.
11. They managed to stay out of most wars but when they do enter, so far they
never lose. Also keeps their
military costs down although they do have a substantial military to
reckon with.
12. Engineers who study here and some who work here tend to go back to China, a
policy of Patriotism
Before Profitism.
13, Their are considered to have the 2nd biggest economy with the least
national debit, still growing and I
suspect will survivor the next big depression better then most?
14. Seems that iron fisted communists do rather well handling a capitalist
economy to those of you who
believe China is a capitalist country and socialism/communisim is dead
and will remain dead regardless
how many countries have powerful socialist parties.
