The Nazi delousing program was not just for killing lice.
"Bitter Smell of Almonds" sounds like gas chambers for people, not lice.

Germans with all of their intelligence, evidentally never got the
delousing program right. No one survived it.
I bought the book "Bitter Smell of Almonds", have just picked a few
pages so far, too depressing to read.
