These are people who are suffering financially and spiritually and want
the government to take responsibility for their lives because they have never
been taught anything different and they have no other options except to
cry like babies. This is what America and much of the rest of the developed
world has become.
This is not to say that I blame these people. Socialism works until it
doesn't anymore. Government taxing, borrowing and money printing works until
it doesn't anymore.
You need to be prepared for what's coming.

The crazies are evidently everywhere. After 18 years of zero global
warming, global climate hysterians have decided that we should no longer
debate
the finer points of all those climate models that have so completely failed
to predict any of this. While scientists have by now forwarded altogether
52 different “explanations” (read: guesses, or rather excuses) about where
the “missing heat has disappeared to”, a great many people seem to have
made up their minds already and don’t want to wait for any progress in what
appears to be a science that produces an ample amount of papers, but seems
to be actually not really certain about anything.
Instead they are demanding action, and they want it now. What action? That
is not 100% clear, but most of the organizations taking part in worldwide
demonstrations over the weekend had the term “justice” in their name, as
Byron York points out in the Washington Examiner. That is usually not a good
sign – your wallet and your liberty are likely to suffer in order for
others to be able to properly provide all this justice in your name.
Supported by a cast of usual suspects – various deluded Hollywood
celebrities, Al Gore (usually the guarantor of cold weather wherever he shows
up,
in spite of his giant carbon footprint), socialist NY mayor Bill de Blasio,
and a platitudes-spouting Ban Ki-Moon (who apparently heads the UN at
present), every leftist issue one can think of was apparently promoted. The “
climate change” banner, which they say is the defining issue of our times,
apparently manages to unite quite a disparate group of would-be planners.
As York writes:
“At times it seemed as if the whole Lefty world, pushing every Lefty
cause, had showed up to march down 6th Avenue. Who was that guy with the “FREE
LEONARD PELTIER NOW!” sign? Okay, that was just one person. But what about
the people waving the “INDIGENOUS RIGHTS PROTECT US ALL” banners? The “
Resistencia Indigena”? What about all the unions — Teamsters, UAW, SEIU,
Amalgamated Transit Union, and more? What about the VOCAL-New York marchers,
who
say their mission is to “build power among low-income people affected by
HIV/AIDS, the drug war and mass incarceration”? What about the Jews for
Racial and Economic Justice? And the “TAKE BACK THE CITY — HOMES FOR ALL”
people? What about the Fresh Direct protesters, angry at the company that
wants
to build a facility on a Native American burial ground in the Bronx? What
about the “WE ARE ALL MIGRANTS” people? And the ones who seemed to step
out of a time warp to chant “the people, united, will never be defeated”?
And of course, what about all those jugglers and guys banging drums?
The genius of the People’s Climate March, at least as far as its
organizers and participants were concerned, is that the concept of climate is
broad
and flexible enough to cover everything. It’s about saving the Earth, and
all of its inhabitants. (Well, maybe not for the woman shouting and waving a
sign saying “ONE CHILD PER FAMILY,” who apparently wants to save the
Earth by depopulating it.) When People’s Climate is the banner, any sort of
Lefty cause can be subsumed underneath it. Thus the “DECOLONIZATION COOLS THE
PLANET” people, and the “CLIMATE CHANGE IS A HEALTH CARE CRISIS” people,
and the “VEGANISM SAVES THE PLANET” guy all march together.
Just as the world’s indigenous people are threatened by climate change, so
are vegans, and those affected by HIV/AIDS and mass incarceration, and
SEIU shop stewards, and more. The People’s Climate March was kind of a reverse
“Seinfeld” — it was a protest about everything.
Apparently they have no sense of irony … never before has a non-issue
produced a greater racket.
