We are thrilled with the level of interest for participation in the 2019
Millrose Games. SWS will have representation in the W40, M40 (possible two
teams), and a M50 team. As we approach the deadline for submission, the M50
team will be confirmed. See the team roster below.
This year, the W40 ladies’ team performance is dedicated to the memory of Jamie
Mulazim’s mother, Mary B. Jarvis, who passed early in the year. From the
formative years of Southwest Sprinters TC, Jamie has been an advocate for
building a strong ladies team. Her advocacy combined with the efforts of team
leaders like Antwon Dussett, Robert Thomas, and Rachel Guest, led to the
creation of a ladies squad respected by the entire masters track community.
So, the 2019 Millrose Games will be special for the reason noted above. In
addition, let’s use this team performance as a reminder to the broader masters
track community the legacy of SWS in the 4 x 400m relays.
