        The Cave of Lascaux

of France - the Cave of Lascaux. This deservedly renowned prehistoric 'art
gallery', dated to about 16,000 years ago, contains the remarkable
paintings of animals which have graced almost every comprehensive history
text.

Learn how the cave was first discovered in 1940, why it was necessary to
close Lascaux to the public in 1963, and embark on a virtual tour of the
Great Hall of the Bulls, the Painted Gallery, the Chamber of Felines and
the Chamber of Engravings.
