Audio Visual Generator
Today's site offers a showcase in quirkiness with its user creator composition
of sight and sound. Gentle Subscribers will discover a possibly addictive
exercise that can create what many would call ambient music.
"As a developer, I try to trigger emotions through digital interfaces using
code. I also like making ambient music and abstract painting. ... this page
creates music using experimental technology. ... It's meant to be sweet but can
be quite aggressive, depends of your machine." - from the website
Although the instructions are slightly ambiguous they do encourage a wide open
response from visitors. The rectangle referred to can include the entirety of
the space to the right of the minimalist directions or perhaps to one of the
very small boxes with the words Main Melody. Simply clicking high and low in
the largest black space will begin the creation of possibly discernible music
accompanied by rigid but moving lines which ultimately join to form geometric
shapes, then the Add Main Melody box can be clicked for interesting and
whimsical results.
