I come tonight to offer my thoughts on the new blood we have on Blackmyre.
Unlike the Doctor, I think myself usually rather simple to please. I demand
deference, the kind my age and place on this council commands, and one of
these new bloods has offered it and the other has not. Take my thoughts for
what they are, blunt and sure.
In regards to Candy, we met in the Vault along with Ciara and the donor,
Haldis. The two of them seemed to hit it off rather well, exchanging words
in Malfarie, a language Ciara and I do not speak. She requested they speak
in Common, they assented momentarily before resuming their conversation. I
do not appreciate disregard to the wishes of this Council and while they
may find an opportunity to speak in their shared tongue refreshing, I find
it disrespectful in our presence when we do not understand. I corrected
them and Haldis seemed quick to remove himself from the conversation
without properly excusing himself, while Candy seemed more willing to
oblige. She spoke of her time with her menagerie of entertainers. I find
this tempting, as I told her, when one is ageless, entertainment becomes of
a prized sort. Even if they do not follow her now, I would be curious to
see the amusements she could procure given the oppotunity. As to her
ability to turn poisons into antidotes, I defer the the Doctor. My children
travel far and wide, as does Lillian and her crew. I see the value in
having such a sort but I will listen to his judgment as to the validity of
her claims.
Pending his evaluation, she has my vote for acceptance.
On to Vladimir.
Let me first agree with the good doctor. He is an imbecile. To speak more
in the tongue I am accustomed to, Orcish, I wish for little more than to
rend his head from his body. Allow to me elaborate, upon meeting him he
shared nothing of this sad story to do with the loss of his loved ones. He
made mention of nothing more than Marisol, until I mentioned his encounter
with my Lillie. He seemed to offer a different account of the events
between the two of them. I will offer this to the Council, Lillie has been
mine and my Velonara's for some time now and not in my long life nor hers
have we found a pet to be so completely willing to be ours in everything.
She had never disobeyed, and she is forbidden to speak to strange men by my
command. By her account, she refused to speak to him and sought the nearest
familiar face, who was Marisol, to convey my order of silence on her part
to him. He was rude and accosted her further until he was disengaged by
Marisol's charm. She, Lillie, returned to me, clearly upset, and sought
mine and Velonara's assurance that she had done nothing wrong. She was
frightened. I take the treatment of my Lillie very seriously, he did not
seem to understand or acknowledge her fright or the command or her
insistent silence. For much less an offense in my own lands, I would break
him. My wrath is only bridled by my commitment to this Council and its
accord. In regard to him and Marisol, he was transfixed on her for our
entire encounter. He would scarce make eye contact with me or Ciara for his
looking at her. While it is true she may have tempted him, I am in
disbelief that no one explained that while he is here, our donors are off
limits to him. Such an indulgence shows me he cares little for our word,
the law of this island, and only for temptation, like a fledgling who
cannot control themselves. I vote him down, and should the Council decide
he is unfit to be here, I will gladly see him off the island.

I have not yet met with Candy. This tart and I have conflicting schedules,
perhaps. I am not a difficult person to find, being the Blackmyre doctor.
She need only visit my office. I do not make it a habit to seek people out,
especially when the sun does not suit me.
As for Vladimir, I have indeed met with this imbecile. He touched upon his
sob story over losing his loved one while seeking our island. However, he
seemingly forgoes his sadness in favor of that dainty waif Marisol. He was
asked a few questions by myself, mostly in concern to his desire to join
our coven.
I was not at all pleased with his answers. In theory, I offered him the
choice to leave with Marisol, or to inhabit the island without her here. He
chose to leave the island with her in tow, because love is difficult to
find. I do not believe he has the best of intentions when it comes to our
coven, and only has the outright crave to place himself inside Marisol. His
loyalties would be with her alone. I do believe that is begging for
disaster upon our soil.
Not to mention his encounter with Lillie, which he assures is smoothed
over between Dov'Goroth, Velonara, and himself. Mayhaps he is putting words
in the mouths of our Council? Do clear this up for me, Orc.
To Vladimir, I serve a resounding No. If you manage to find anything to
sway my reasoning, do let me know. Though it may serve no greater good.

Hello, hello council!
I thought that I would give you all an update on some of the new recruits
and what I have heard thus far, or you can all discuss new possible
vampiric recruits to the island.
First of all, the latest recruit I've brought over is *Candy*. I was a
bit hesitant to bring her over at first. I asked her the usual questions:
Have you ever fed forcibly from someone? Her answer was no.
Have you ever served or followed an evil deity or been part of an evil
gathering? Her answer was yes. I asked her to elaborate on her answer and
ensured her that it would not mean automatic rejection, as we are not a
judgmental sort, and she stated that she followed Obsidian once but left
his service. She had a traveling show at one time, and he promised to help
her grow it into a business of substantial worth in return for her
servitude. When he did not follow through, she left his service, as she
claims it was not the place for her anyway.
Other notes: She calls her sire 'Master'. I have explained to her that if
she joins our coven, that the ruling of the council will outweigh anything
her sire has to say. I've also explained to her that if he comes to our
island and causes problems, it would lead to her banishment if she takes
part. I am uncertain if he will be a problem or not, but felt the need to
mention that. She said she doesn't listen to him anyway.
Another recruit that I have brought over is *Vladimir*.
He has never fed forcibly from someone, and he has never served an evil
deity. Apparently he heard of Blackmyre more as a legend than an actual
place. When he learned that it really existed, he sought to join us.
I told him all of the rules before I brought him to the island, as I have
told each recruit, and I've heard rumors that he has become besotted with
Marisol.
Finally, a good aligned coven from Karchan called *The Order of Eternity
*wishes
to merge their coven with ours. I recently brought them to the island and
they have had some difficulties tracking down council members. Their
leaders are *Lavender* and *Gavril*. They have said that they have no
issues following the rules of the island, and that they will gladly step
down from leadership positions in their own coven to become regular members
of ours. The coven is small and somewhat nomadic, so they are looking for a
permanent place of residence.
Side note: They fight evil vampires and slayers, *Gavril* has expressed
interest in becoming a sentinel for the island and teaching others how to
fight to up our police force.
Please feel free to discuss these issues as you gain more information.
Opinions, votes, and everything in between are welcome. As usual, I am just
the secretary, and I will relay any decisions to the rest of the coven.
