Greetings from the Disability Rights Project of the School of Law of
the University of Nairobi.
The Disability Rights Project is pleased to invite you to attend the
launch of the Special Issue of the East African Law Journal on
Disability Rights, 2016/2017, which is being co-hosted by the
Editorial Board of the East African Law Journal. The launch will take
place in the Okoth Ogendo Boardroom in Parklands Campus of the School
of Law of the University of Nairobi from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on
Friday 23 June 2017.
The theme of the Special Issue is ten years of the United Nations
Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. It addresses
various disability rights issues and their relevance to Kenya and the
world generally.
The launch will also be graced by Professor Arlene Kanter who will
speak about her research on the rights of persons with disabilities.
The Disability Rights Project has been extremely honoured to be
extended the opportunity of editing an issue focusing specifically on
disability rights. As a stakeholder in the disability sector or as an
academic or other partner, we trust you will come to participate in
this launch with us.
