Good afternoon friends,
Following the Sopvid Annual general meeting held on Saturday, 24th November,
members in attendance resolved among other matters, that all persons who
have not regularized their membership status do so by the end of the year.
The resolution further emphasized that failure to update this status would
result in their removal from the Sopvid listserv.
This resolution, arrived at after careful deliberation was driven by the
need to have members take the society and its activities more seriously, and
even though painful, was nevertheless felt the drastic action would
galvanize colleagues into better appreciation of our stated objectives.
I therefore urge friends who have not done so already, to kindly normalize
your status by 30th December 2018 in order to satisfy this requirement
captured in the said AGM resolution.
All persons who joined Sopvid before the year 2016, please note your
subscription charge is Kshs. 3,600 [i.e. Kshs. 1,200 for each year] upto and
including the year ending 2018
For all new members, your contributions amount to Kshs. 1,700 i.e. Kshs 500
for membership and Kshs. 1,200 for this, your first year's annual
subscription.
