Horford got dazzlers on REA's first two possessions and REA led by as much
as five in the first quarter at 19-14. Lake K had two different 7-0 runs
and built as large as a 7 point lead at 37-30 with two seconds left but a
half court launch went in Dieng to make it 37-33 after 12 minutes. Lake K
led 12-0 in FB scoring in the opening period. Harrell led the way with 10
points and 5 rebounds. Embiid led all with 11 points.
In the second quarter, Lake K's offense came alive and went on a 12-0 run
and 18-2 overall run for a 71-50 lead. Lake K out scored REA 37-19 in the
quarter to take a 74-52 halftime lead. All five Lake K starters scored in
double figures. Harrell already had a double-double with 13 points and 11
rebounds. Gobert is almost there too with 12 and 9. REA has been a one
man show so far with Embiid scoring a game high 15 but no one else in
double figures.
In the third quarter, Embiid scored 20 of his game high 35 points and 20 of
his team's 33 points but still REA could not chip into the lead as Lake K
scored 35. Embiid is still the only REA player in double figures. Harrell
is up to 25 points and 14 rebounds while Gobert has a double-double too now
with 14 and 12. The lead stayed between 19 and 28 the entire third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the lead stayed between 24 and 32 points the entire
time. Lake K scored exactly 37 points in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters and
only slacked off in the 3rd with 35. Lake K wins going away 146-118. REA
scored exactly 33 points in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters and just had that
bad second quarter offensively.
Embiid went for a game high 42 points but just missed a double-double with
9 rebounds. Horford got a dazzler at the buzzer of the 4th quarter to
reach 10 assists with at least five of them dazzlers. Lake K had four
players with 20+ points led by Smart's 28. LeVert added 20. Lake K had
three players earning double-doubles. Harrell paired 25 points with 14
rebounds. Gobert scored 20 and grabbed a game high 16 rebounds. Ingles
had just 11 points but dished out a game high 13 assists. Lake K's bench
was 5 for 6 from three point land.
