Horford and Embiid both picked up two fouls in the first five
minutes bringing in the ageless Vince Carter to play center! Gobert got a
hoop and some harm, missed the FT, got the rebound, got fouled, and made
both FT's for a four point possession. A 9-0 Lake K run put us up 22-14
and after 12 minutes Lake K held a 33-21 lead. Lake K outscored REA 16-5
over the first four minutes of the second quarter to push the lead to 23!
The lead stayed between 20-25 the rest of the half. At the half, Lake K
led 68-47. Harrell scored 16 of his 21 in the second quarter. Fournier
led REA with 11.
Embiid woke up in the third quarter and made 1 of 2 FT's, got his own miss,
then got a hoop and some harm for a four point possession. The lead
reached as high as 27 but a 9-0 run for REA cut it to 16. Lake K led 93-76
heading to the 4th. Harrell led all with 26 points to this point. Embiid
was up to 18 and 9 to lead REA. In the 4th quarter, Gobert fouled out with
five minutes left. REA went on a 10-0 run to cut it to 118-106 with two
minutes left but never got closer. Lake K wins 124-109 in comfortable
fashion.
Embiid led REA with 22 points and 11 rebounds but struggled from the field
shooting 5 for 19. Fournier added 19 points against his former team. Two
other REA players scored in double figures. Harrell paired a game high 30
points with 10 rebounds. Gobert scored 14 points with a game high 14
rebounds before fouling out. Smart quietly poured in 28 points. Both
teams had four players scoring in double figures.
