Gobert picked up three fouls in the first three minutes of the game. Both
teams were scoring at will in most of the first quarter. Lake K got the
lead as high as 9 at 28-19 but after 12 minutes only led by three at
39-36. Neither team led by more than 5 in the second quarter, and at the
half Lake K trailed 73-71 with Gobert playing the entire second quarter
with those three fouls.
Lake K led for most of the third quarter but only by as much as 7 twice.
MIN came back and tied it at 94-94 heading to the fourth. Walker hit a
three to put MIN up 99-96, and they never trailed again. The lead got as
high as 13 late in the quarter and MIN won 131-120. Lake K led 44-2 in
paint points but MIN went 23 for 49 from downtown.
Walker led MIN with 33 points and Sexton was right behind him with 31 as
both almost had a point per minute played. Robinson also scored 23
points. Only Hield going 4 for 18 from the field struggled offensively for
MIN. Harrell became a starter with Griffin out for the rest of the season
and rewarded the coach with a game high 41 points. Gobert grabbed a game
high 13 rebounds but couldn't reach double figures in points. Smart paired
12 points with a game high 12 assists.
