MAD led by 8 four times in the first quarter including at the end of the
period 34-26. MAD briefly took a 10 point lead before seven in a row for
Lake K cut it to 36-33. Lake K only took the lead once in the second
quarter at 52-51. At the half, MAD was on top 62-57. Gobert had a
double-double at the half already but picked up 3 of his 4 fouls in the
second quarter.
The third quarter was close throughout with both teams leading only by as
much as four until MAD scored the last seven points of the quarter for a
93-86 lead. Five minutes into the 4th, MAD matched their largest lead of
the game at 111-101. Lake K got within two but the back breaker was two
MAD missed FT's only to see an offensive rebound and bucket to make a two
point game turn into four. MAD made their FT's at the end and won
125-120.
All five Lake K starters scored in double figures. Harrell scored 23
points but Gobert was a monster with game highs in points (24) rebounds
(20), and blocks (4). MAD had seven players score in double figures led by
Jackson's 21. Both teams had 7 steals and 14 turnovers.
