Dakota finds themselves down by double digits after the first quarter,
39-28. Trae is fire scoring 17 points in the quarter while rolling X+F(1)
three times. Dakota is not able to gain much ground in Q2 as Mississippi
keeps answering our runs and seems to be getting most of the breaks, 63-53
at the half. Dakota tires to press the first few minutes in Q3 but it just
seems to get us in foul trouble and MIS leads by approximately 10 when we
turn it off. MIS up 11 with 6:30 after a FB shot by Portis. DAK closes out
the quarter well with a 14-5 run and MIS leads after the quarter, 77-73. DAK
only scores 20 points in the quarter but holds MIS to 14. MIS scores first
in Q4 after a three by Gallinari to lead by 7. DAK finally playing better
and able to take a 1-point lead with 6:23 on the clock, 86-85. DAK continues
on with a 19-11 run to end the quarter, take game 5, and win the series 4-1.
Young leads MIS with 28 points and Powell adds 20 points. LaVine leads DAK
with 30 and Leonard adds 25.
