I have been asked by a couple of new coaches for a list of players that will be
available in the dispersal draft pool. Under the DD Pool tab in the workbook is
the list of players from the 13 teams that either did not return to SOMIBA OR
were drafted stock teams to hold talent for this year’s dispersal draft. Keep
in mind that dispersal draft teams will not only be able to draft players from
the pool, but can also draft a player from a returning team if that player is
not protected (a returning team can only lose one player per round).
The draft will go something like this:
ROUND 1:
1. Returning Team A – Protects Player 1
2. Returning Team B – Protects Player 2
3. Returning Team C – Protects Player 3
4. Returning Team D – Pass
5. Returning Team E – Protect Player 4
6. Returning Team F – Protect Player 5
7. Returning Team G – Protect Player 6
8. Returning Team H – Protect Player 7
9. Returning Team I – Protect Player 8
10. Returning Team J – Pass
11. Returning Team K – Protect Player 9
12. Dispersal Team L – Select Player 10 (pool)
13. Dispersal Team M – Select Payer 11 (pool)
14. Dispersal Team N – Select Player 12 (pool)
15. Dispersal Team O – Select Player 13 (Team E)
16. Dispersal Team P – Select Player 14 (pool)
17. Dispersal Team Q – Select Player 15 (pool)
18. Dispersal Team R – Select Player 16 (Team G)
19. Dispersal Team S – Select Player 17 (pool)
20. Dispersal Team T – Select Player 18 (pool)
21. Dispersal Team U – Select Player 19 (pool)
22. Dispersal Team V – Select Player 20 (pool)

Returning teams can throw their roster into the pool and redraft as a dispersal
draft team. A random order will be determined for the 13 dispersal teams and
then they will draft in a snake order (from round to round) in the middle of
each round as shown in the above example. The 11-returning teams that choose
not to protect a player at the beginning of each round, will draft at the end
of each round using a snake order (from round to round) at the end of each
round.
