Andy:
Count me in for a Champ fuselage as well, even though I don’t have a Spektrum
radio.....yet! 😁
Cheers!

At our membership meeting last Sunday, we suggested that the workshop date we
have planned for the morning of February 10, 2019 could be a build of an 18"
foam delta (Rick's Delta) that is regularly flown indoors by the Brant Flyers
and some of our own members.
Attached are a sketch, photo and video of this delta. I can personally vouch
that this little foam delta is an absolute blast to fly. It is also quite
durable and easy to repair. Although I have only flown it indoors, I see no
reason why it would not also fly well outside on a relatively calm day.
We have received a quote from Paris Junction Hobbies for a group buy (minimum
8) of the electronics for this delta of $53. The cost of the foam is ~$2. So
the total cost of the plane inc. HST would be less than $65.
Note that if interested in building and committing to this, it would not be
essential to attend the workshop. There will be plenty of advice available if
needed to complete it. To fly this you will need a 2.4GHz Spektrum or
compatible radio, just 3 channel.
If you are interested in this build and prepared to commit ~$65 to it, please
confirm by return email before Friday December 14th. The reason for the
relatively quick reply is to ensure obtaining the electronics prior to
February 10th.
Thanks, Andy
