Fellow SOGAGG Linksters,
Looking forward to seeing you this Saturday at the Bonita Golf Course. As a
reminder, the first tee time is at 0730. Please arrive in time to pay your
green fee and be ready to tee off. Price is $55 for walkers and $70 for cart
riders, paid directly to the course upon check-in, (so we will need everyone to
arrive early!!) We will be playing a 4-person scramble (see playing notes
below).
Team#1: Ace/Brassie + KD/Dorsch
Team #2: Axe/Rules + Swamp/Hagman
Team #3: Lob/Divot + Sinker/Bagger
Team #4: WOXOF/Hooks + Miss Hit/Renee
The always excellent Bonita GC restaurant doesn't open until 0700, so please
eat a hearty breakfast beforehand. "Ace" has volunteered to host lunch
afterward. So following completion of your round, please promptly turn in your
score cards to KD and then move to the restaurant for lunch and the awards
ceremony.
4 PERSON SCRAMBLE FORMAT
1. Men play from WHITE tees and women play from GOLD tees. Players with index
of 20 or more may play from GOLD tees.
2. All players hit a tee shot. After the best shot is selected by team
members, pick up the selected ball and all other balls may be placed within one
club-length of where the selected ball originally lay, but not nearer the hole,
or on the putting surface and must remain in the same cut of grass.
3. If a ball selected lies in the rough or in the trees or the like, it must
remain in that lie.
4. If the selected ball lies in a hazard, all balls must be placed within the
hazard. (Players may rake between shots).
5. There is no restriction on whose tee shot must be used.
6. Each TEAM gets ONE MULLIGAN per side. The team decides who may use this
mulligan.
7. On the putting green, all balls must be placed on the spot where the
selected ball lies.
8. All ties will be broken by matching scorecards, starting with hole # 18 and
working backward.
9. To increase the pace of play, please pick up and record no greater score
than a double bogey.
10. Threesomes: one player may take two shots. This shall rotate in succession
at each lie: player #1, then player #2, then player #3. On #9 tee only first
shot is eligible for prize.
11. PLEASE TURN IN SCORE CARD IMMEDIATELY. Awards “ceremony” and hosted
lunch (courtesy of “Ace”) immediately following the last putt, in the Bonita GC
restaurant.
