Society colleagues,
During the recent NDIA Board of Directors' holiday appreciation dinner, Old
Slice advised me he was going to hang up his golf bag. He indicated he will
be concentrating on his industry efforts, his grandchildren, mountain biking
and vacation travel.
I realize this does not come as a surprise to most, as Old Slice hasn't
participated very often in SOGAGG events over the past several years and
this announcement was more of a formalization of the decision he no doubt
came to some time ago.
I'm sure you (as do I) respect his wishes on this. I indicated I would
ensure he would no longer receive the Society-related emails and thanks to
OB, he is no longer on the collective email address. He indicated he
preferred this.
The moniker "Old Slice" is now formally returned to the name pool for future
use if so desired. It's a catchy double entendre and worth considering for
some deserving member and joins that of "Doglegs" in a reserved spot.
