area (just north of the highway) you will no doubt witness a parade at noon
along with speeches from local luminaries this evening and followed by a huge
fireworks display.

even larger occasion to be celebrated, to wit: The lauding of a community
hero, a highly accomplished government official, an all-around good guy and a
most valued member of our Society: Our Shaft.
It’s easy to cheer the big day of someone who is so easy to like and to be with
and that’s why we take this opportunity to step forward with a hearty and most
“Happy Birthday” to you Shaft while acknowledging our great luck that you’re

P.S. For those of you who may be unaware, Shaft’s original call sign was
“Doglegs” which he carried for years until one eventful moment during a SOGAGG
trip to Las Vegas (six rounds in five days). You may wish to corner him and
hear the account. Yet another golden thread in the rich fabric that is…SOGAGG.
